Unless the mule that was given to the press is a ringer then the crank HP on this pony was 440 to 450 HP. There is a dyno of the 2011 GT and it shows how under rated the 5.0 is. Remeber this is a 4 cam, 4 valves per cylinder 5.0 not to be confused with the 80s push rod engine. This engine is high tech and on the cutting edge with its intake and exhaust VVT. Dodge and GM have decided to stay with the push rod V-8s and take them as far as they can. Fords approch is different. Also the Mustang is lighter and needs to be because the torque is a lower @ 390 ft. lbs. The 5.7 Dodge puts out 410 ft. lbs and 6.1 is @ 420 as is the 6.2 GM motor. Could be the liter size of the 5.0 to the 6.1 and 6.2 that dictates the torque numbers.
