Default Pedal Kit Install (Brake pedal problems)

I tried installing the pedal kit yesterday on my '09 R/T (automatic). The gas pedal was cake, but the brake pedal is giving me trouble. I suppose it's my gorilla fingers, but I'm having trouble getting the top rubber lip over the pedal. I've tried soap, vaseline and WD-40. Any tips or tricks on how to do this? Thanks much.

Put it in boiling water for a second or 2 then try it. The rubber gets really flexable and goes right on, i did mine in 2 min like that.

The brake pedal was a duzzy. I have collected tools for most my life and it took a darn butter knife to chase the top on.

I used a homedepot paint can opener along with a screwdriver. You can hold firm with one hand and slide paint can opener in and pull out the rubber lip on the pad using leverage form the steel pedal.

I appreciate all the tips. Holy crap, I needed a couple of days for my sore fingers to heal. Thanks again.
