Brake pedal spring
the brake pedal on my 1970 does not return all the way after it has been depressed. There is a spring attached to the arm that carries the brake pedal. I have one end attached up under the dash. I found my notes from 12 years ago when I took the car apart, that I wrote, spring was hanging loose, unkown location. The way I have it, it hardly stretches. And the direction is more up and down and not pulling the pedal back (toward driver) after pressing the pedal.
Has anyone done assembly or work on this part of car to know how to improve this function?
Would anybody please look under driver's dash for the spring and try find (or photo) its location and attachment?

RE: Brake pedal spring
Thanks for the offer of help. The text decribes clutch spring, photos no longer load. But I bet the brake spring is in the photo with the clutch spring. Could you please email them to me?

RE: Brake pedal spring
I had the pictures from before of the clutch spring saved on my camera. Let me know if these will work. I don't think it shows the brake spring. I will be able to take the right pics this weekend if you still need them.
