It is all about legacy.
The General Lee was on a 69/70 Charger that was painted "Hugger" orange with a flag on top.....let's keep it that way.
If anything put it on a Charger not a Challenger.

Agreed. The General Lee horn might be okay on the current Charger, but not the Challenger. The Challenger was not the car used by the Dukes. It just doesn't work.
