Default Brief Reference to Challenger in SEMA Article

Talking about accessories of course....

Interesting tidbits....

"Hemi-powered performance cars, such as the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger, also are a growing market that is expected to get
even bigger with the 2008 launch of the Dodge Challenger, he said."
Brings up an interesting but largely disconnected question alluded to in other discussions about synergy, overlap expansion of other lines afforded by Chrysler's foray into coupe on LY platform and that question is I wonder if they might (even though traditionally they don't) consider offering 6sp manual transmission on the 300, Charger and Magnum.....because that was the only thing that kept from getting a Charger......I would have bitten on the SRT8 Charger even w/ it's four doors.......

Now, I understand for 4dr cars and mini-vans have gravitated to Autos because this is becoming a more sought after option...but I think if Chrysler is already invested in expanding available transmissions, they could realize an appreciable bump in offering these transmissions on other cars....I don't think it would be cost prohibitive....I hope they do......

I believe as you do that once the cats out of the bag... well no reason not to offer it to the 300 or Charger. Bolts up the same way

I wouldn't hold my breathe. There have been examples of when they tried this and it wasn't successful such as the Stratus Sedan R/T. Granted those were not a performance car, but executives will look at that as an excuse on why not to offer it. I would like them to but don't expect it is my point.
