Camaro to get green light this week

*****OK, So this isn't really a Challenger news clip but I say bring 'em on*****
The Detroit Free Press reports that General Motors has green-lit production of the extremely popular Chevy Camaro concept. While GM spokesperson Steve Harris would not confirm questions on the Camaro's status last week, others within GM state top brass has given it the thumbs up. GM chairman Rick Wagoner may give the official word as early as this Thursday. We have to wonder if the news of the Dodge Challenger getting the go for production lit a fire under the collective butt of GM.

RE: Camaro to get green light this week
I think that is good news. I would like to see it come out. With the Challenger, the Camero and the Mustang, should be good times. I know a couple friends that would get teh new Camero. Now just need someone to get the Challenger when it comes out, and have a muscle car club. . I would liek the Challenger for myself, but don't see getting it in teh near future because of finances. We want a new house first. And I do like the Mustang. With the persoanl attention I am giving it, it would be hard to let go. Know what I mean?

I am just guessing but we probabaly won't see a Camaro until 2009-2010 so the Challenger will against the Mustang for a while.

Competition is good. It makes things more interesting. I'm sure GM wants to keep the spotlight on themselves, so they did this when they did.
