Chrysler/Challenger marketing

Chrysler/Challenger marketing
I enjoyed a terrific visit with Scott Vandekerckhove from SRT events, a subcontactor marketing firm for Chrysler. Scott had posted earlier for enthusiast input on marketing programs.
Scott got to see my collection first hand, and we took a ride in my 1970 Challenger 440. It was his first drive in a classic Challenger and he easily made comparisons to the new.
Scott added to my collection with a variety of Chrysler and Dodge printed materials...including a coveted 2010 print Challenger brochure...heh,heh,heh
We spoke at great length about the flux in the Auto Industry including the economy and CAFE standards. We also spoke about the Fiat involvement and that the company is big with multiple and complex influences over decision making for resource allocation. Chrysler is enjoying the fact that Challenger sells itself. We agreed that the company might be overlooking "free" marketing by being involved in Enthusiast activity, even if only superficial, and capitalizing on its media relations to make Challenger (and 300 for example) Halo cars to draw attention to its brands. There is talk of upcoming events for enthusiast participation, but the decision process is slow.

Steve you are the man. Looks like your collection is growing and getting some of the attention it deserves. Thanks for keeping the collectables and information we all will treasure in a few years from now.
