Demand for Challenger could drive price through the roof

RE: Demand for Challenger could drive price through the roof
I've been thinking.
1. Has anybody been keeping up with Challenger bidding on ebay? for example, how many pre sale "privelage of buying" auctions have there been, and for how much money?
2. The order banks were sold out the first day. But that does not mean 6,000 individuals put money down, only that dealers ordered all the allotment they could. For example, my dealer ordered 4 Challengers, his total allotment. My salesman told me the dealership had made no decison on who would get them, or how they would sell them to guys like me, whose name is "on the list".
3. Is it possible, that more 2008's will be out there than buyers ready to pay the big bucks?

A friend had his Challenger on order from Idaho and was to get it at MSRP-there are dealers out there who will sell them at msrp if ordered-but they may order one for stock and raise the price to use it as a draw to generate traffic in the showrooms-however it sounds like the oportunity to order has just about closed!

Same thing happened at the dealership I worked at when the Viper first came out...
