Dodge.com changes to the Challenger
I really like how Dodge.com is finally updating the information on the Challenger.
Especially the fact that it says coming this Spring. Yahoo!

RE: Dodge.com changes to the Challenger
Finally but, they did it without saying a word to the public. Why???
If you read the history of the muscle car era. One important mistake Chrysler did was they did NOT know how to advertise. It has been said time and time again that the Mopars were much better cars then the Mustang but the Mustang sold many more cars because Ford knew how to sell it's product. So is history going to repeat itself?

What happened to this supposedly new marketing person from Lexus that is going to make a huge difference?
Also, it would be good if they get the whole thing working before they put it out. They put the link on there about the auction for the first Challengers and it takes you back to the article over a year ago.

We explored the lack of marketing on another thread & I asked similar questions. Most on this forum chose to defend the stealth marketing approach they are taking with Challenger. At least they finally did something with the website.

Yeah, why not put some teasers out there with maybe super-imposing a new chally into a scene from Vanishing Point and having the original actor do a double take, then see it pull off and accelerate out of the frame.....
nice!

RE: Dodge.com changes to the Challenger
LOL, yes history will repeat itself. There never going to compete with there current price tags on the challengers. Only people i see buying them are mopar fans like ourselves. If a typical 25 year old wants a muscle car and doesn't know anything about them, looks at specs. He will more than likely hands down pick the mustang because of the pricetag there wanting to put on these cars. Honeslty it doesn't make much since to me.

Oh no, I said the Lexus person that was going to make a huge difference, not one that wants to show the Challenger in fluffy bunny pink with Hello Kitty stickers in the back and built in car seats to be more family oriented.
