Dodge knows that the 2008s may be collector items. That is why they are installing numbered plates in each car (like the Dodge Super Bees). This fact alone will escalate prices. One dealer near me has already said he will only sell for $5K over MSRP.

I intend to wait for the 2009s.

 

i would be surprised if its only 5k over...the gt500s went for 20k+ over msrp...and the early s197 mustangs were going for WAY over msrp...

 

Actually I'm impressed with only $37,995 as a base price for the SRT model, that's actually fairly reasonable. An SRT Charger costs more than that.

BUT...

It'll be an absolute miracle if you manage to get one out the door for "only" that price. Those of you already on your way to the Dodge dealership better have deep (DEEP) pockets or you might want to bring a case of KY along... [sm=yikesomg.gif]

 

i have dealership connections, but i dont plan to try to get one of the early run units.
