No panic here.
Me neither! Just excitement. I can't wait to hear what the official amounts will be for the R/T models.

Wow, that is a great price for an SRT. I'm delightfully surprised.[sm=happy046.gif] But, I am also an "O-niner".

They changed the Challenger page and now the price says starting msrp is $40,095. I wonder what the deal really is.

I'm very impressed. The Challenger is actually remarkably cheaper than I expected. I was expecting around $45k for the SRT8 model, a pleasant surprise. Now this doesn't mean I can afford one anytime soon, but hey it's still good news. And I bet that thing will look mean in black. I would prefer the colors be more along the lines of HEMI Orange, Sublime, Plum Crazy, and maybe Top Banana, but hey, they'll be around eventually.

Anyway, sweet news.

HAPPY Dance !!!!! [sm=Awwww.gif]

I wonder if getting one of the first edition ones - in a couple years - actually will amount to anything - The streets will be filled with them in Fall of 09 (I hope).

This is totally wicked.

So the SRT will actually be about the same price as the Charger SRT when all is said and done. Not bad.

73Cuda340 \\\\\\\\\\ 09Challenger6.1 - just trying it out. 8^)

Some guy posted this on the blog maybe he's right:

On Nov 29, 2007 at 7:51PM, Mister Deeps posted:
g$37,995 is MISLEADINGc

$37,995 + $2,100 GG Tax = $40,095. PLUS additional options, PLUS additional dealer markup, PLUS tax and license = $50k or morec

Either way, the pricing is roughly close to a charger

Charger

SE Base MSRP:$22,575
SE Plus Base MSRP:$23,475
SXT Base MSRP:$26,585

R/T Base MSRP:$31,655
DAYTONA R/T Base MSRP:$35,905
SRT8 Base MSRP:$39,130
SUPER BEE Base MSRP:$41,890

Challenger
SRT8 37,995 or 40,095

Anyway I'm a 09 or later, any 08 buyer be sure to post plenty of pics.

Same here, looking at late 09 or so when the lease is up on the wife's 07 Camry, unless I succumb to a Charger first - something I've really been considering. If I don't, hopefully the hoopla (i.e. gouging) will have died down by then - and maybe even have a rebate or two if I'm really lucky.

Awesome!!! Way to go Dodge...right on the money!!!

Can't wait! Maybe late 2008 is long enough to get past the mark-up craze...
