New Challenger Badge?

RE: New Challenger Badge?
ORIGINAL: awsure
I'd rather see DCX bring the Barracuda logo back for a limited production, high horsepower version of the Challenger. I know Plymouth is dead but what the heck. Toss out the SS monicker and revive the Cuda...that'd be cool.

RE: New Challenger Badge?
well, the cuda name has been recopywritten recently...as have a bunch of the other vintage performance car names...there are also constant ongoing rumors about plymouth returning...but they are just rumors right now...

I realize that but I doubt that they will make it a trim level on the Challenger.

RE: New Challenger Badge?
Same here. I would love to see the Cuda return. It would be a good idea to bring both back. If the Dodge version is going to come back, then the model that has a longer and better known heritage should also return.

RE: New Challenger Badge?
it is obvious that dodge intended to steal the show last year at the NAIAS with the challenger...
i dont know what would steal the show more than that, other than DCX releasing the new Plymouth line...headed by the new Cuda...but, im just dreaming..

That is the only card I can think of that they can still play that would get comparable, maybe even more attention. I wish they would.

RE: New Challenger Badge?
I don't see why they just can't bring back the 'cuda under the Chrysler name. I'm sure some kind of deal could be made, and I am praying that we see a 'cuda at the 2007 Auto Show. Has anyone asked Dr. Z or anything like that? It's probably just a waste of time but I'd be curious anyway. If anybody ever hears anything about a 'cuda re-release please e-mail me A.S.A.P.

RE: New Challenger Badge?
I think Patrick already asked that and he dodged the question. I would much rather see the Cuda return under the Chrysler badge than them not bringing it back. I think if they do bring it back under the Chrysler division, it will further confuse the market on what Chrysler is supposed to be, but considering other models they have such as the PT Crusier that stray away from what Chrysler should be in a negative way, the Cuda would add a nice dose of muscle car performance image which might help them against say BMW by having some performance association.
The only thing is I have doubts that they will offer the Cuda under the Chrysler badge since the output would be roughly the same as the Firepower. It would make the Firepower unjustified (if they ever make it).
