Thanks for the info, Techman.
You are welcome. That is if they use this one for the Challenger. It is used in the Dodge Nitro, Chrysler Sebring, Jeep Wrangler 4 door and I think on a couple of other models.
It also will have the Infinity amp and speakers.

The only reason I say that "IF", is because the Charger uses the Boston Acoustic system as their high end system. I don't know anything about that system. But I hope they go with the MyGIG. That thing is pretty cool.

Here is a pic of it

I could definitely live without the Sirius satellite. All standard means is that they raise the price of the car and blend it in to look like you didn't pay extra for it. It's like my 06 to my 07 Mustang, the price went up a little. I noticed that the tire pressure monitor was suddenly "standard," but I bet that's where that extra bit of money came from.

As for the MP3 player, on my wife's 08 Avenger, she has the standard radio and it has the jack.

My wifes 06 Rav for as well has the standard radio system and has the AUX jack input. I think the newer Mustangs come with it as well. Mine didn't. I got the standard because the I replace it all anyways so why pay the premium stereo price. If i was lucky enough and got the Challenger and it has the MyGIG, I would get that. The only thing I would replace then were the speakers. And I would be happy with that.

While the aftermarket radios are always better, just replacing the speakers will go a long way in sound quality and then you can add a sub to give it some real energy.

My personal preference is to get free HD digital radio and I hope the radios have this capability.

Best Buy and other car stores are selling them and you can also plug in your USB thumb drive and play your MP3 files as well.

Learn more about HD Radio here and it is free CD quality sound being played around the country:

http://www.hdradio.com/what_is_hd_digital_radio.php

It was not mentioned here so I assume you have not heard about it so go spread the word.

Just like a lot of people think you can only get HD TV from cable or satellite and that is not true.

If my cable ever goes out, I just switch to my external antenna and get free HD TV and it is awesome.

Yes, the newer Mustangs do have the jack. My 06 didn't, but my 07 does. It's in the center console, which just doesn't seem like a good place for it if you ask me. The stock system is much better sounding also, actually has a kick to it which is very nice. For some reason they felt the need to switch the buttons around for the defroster and recerculated air. I really don't undestand that. And the popping from the rear, still there, but not as bad, that is if you have a manual transmission.
