What a magazine said?

RE: What a magazine said?
Teasing a little. I am 38 but my bad back has me feeling old before my time.
That mileage is not normal obviously...over 65,000 miles per year (or nearly 200 mils per day 365 days a year). I think you might be waiting a bit longer to get the feedback you want. Nice to be young.
As far as MPG on 6.1L I think a lot will depend on your foot. I would guess 17-20 maybe. Surprised that they would not offer those engine systems that cut back the number of cylinders firing on highway driving. Maybe not be something that will convert a fence sitter into a buyer though. My brother in law has it on his Honda Odyssey and they get about 30MPG on highway driving.

Well like I said, by 2009 when the prices lose the initial price spike and the first year flaws are gone, I will be able to know for sure whether or not the system is reliable. Like I said early, I heard they didn't offer the system on the 6.1L because the higher output caused problems with the MDS. Reliability comes first before fuel economy. If they put better gearing in the manual version, they could get much better fuel economy the SRT-8 has a .83 overdrive with a 3.07 axle-ratio.
When you feel bad, you feel older. I felt pretty old when I had ingrown toenails. Thank the Lord that is over.

RE: What a magazine said?
i want more power, simply put.
gas prices are somehow projected to keep dropping...but it could be ten bucks a gallon, and the challenger could get 10mpg, and if it is reasonably priced (40 grand or less) and will run in the 12s stock (which the 6.1L should easily) we are probably going to get one...
there is now a development that may delay the challenger purchase...ive always wanted a muscle car, and im going to look at one this weekend...
i have read quite a bit that we will likely see alot of 5.7L models early, and then fewer 6.1s later...

I also want more power. I would like to see either the 6.1L given a boost in output or a larger HEMI like the 6.4L. Fuel economy is not my top priority for this car but having good gearing couldn't hurt either.
