I wonder what has happened to the 3 winners of the new Challengers and if Dodge is going to publicize their receiving of the cars?

 

Perhaps the 3 Challengers to be auctioned have not been manufactured as of yet. I know there are test mules out on the road now, but typically the mules do not have VINs and are never sold. So my guess is on the day they fire up that assembly line for the Challenger, 1,2, and 3 will be the ones auctioned.

 

I think jh27n0b was referring to the winners of the Challengers Dodge gave away in a promotion (I think it was) last June.

 

Either way, the winners do not have the cars yet, so maybe they will be announced at or around the time they will receive them.

 

Yes Bootcamp, I am referring to the lucky 3 who won the drawing. I wonder if they are as excited as the rest of us. I hope so. I can't imagine someone who might win one of these beautiful recreations and think that it is just a car. I also wonder if they will get to order theirs as they want. I hope that Cerberus honors their commitment to these lucky 3.

I think I read somewheres that Challenger #1 will be delivered no later than May 31st.

 

Wait a minute -- on that contest, weren't the giveaway cars advertised as R/T models? At least the pics they used were of the concept Challenger, which bears the R/T mark. I wonder if that means the people will be getting them later in the year when the R/Ts are part of the '09 production run. Personally, I'd rather have an '09 model for, say, half of calendar year 2008, just so I could lord it over people stupid enough to pay outrageous markups by greedy Dodge dealers and now are stuck with an old beater.
