Default Hill Start on manual 6 speed

As one who went from a Mazda MX-5 with 6 speed to the new Challenger R/T 6 speed. I have ran into a problem with the Hill Start a few time's. I got to where I could take off on a hill with the MX-5 without any roll back . But have had the Hill Start hold the brake a few time's when I let the clutch out on a small hill . And have to clutch it as the car wouldn't move. Maybe it need's a adjustment or what. I'm I the only one that has had this problem. I'm afraid I will get rear ended at a light .

Do you mean the Mazda had a hill start assist feature and it worked differently or you learned how to start on a hill without any sort of hill start assist and don't need the computer's help?

If you don't need the computer's help, then disable the hilll start assist feature by paging through the personal settings with the steering wheel buttons. Directions are in the owner's manual on how to disable it.

I don't need the HSA feature but my wife wants me to leave it on for when she might drive the car. So it does get annoying at times. FYI, the grade needs to be 7% or greater for the HSA to be active.

I have had several stick shift car's and don't really need the Hill Start . No the Mazda didn't have it . Thanks for the information on disableing it . I dont have the button's on steering wheel . Do miss them as the Mazda had all that and my wifes 06 300C has all it also on the steering wheel. There are very few places I drive that have any kind of hill to stop and take off from . I didn't order my R/T . It was on the showroom floor and had mostly the option's I wanted .

I was parked with the front end facing down hill in the parking lot of VA hospital I go to today. I guess the hill start also work's if you need to back up also. Keeping you from rolling forward.
