Production Car Count??

RE: Production Car Count??
Oh, Paladin, those orange ones are as common as houseflies. They'll never be worth anything. Now a silver or a black 08 undoubtedly will be worth something someday.
Also, 6400 08s were supposed to have been produced. What about the cars that were damaged by hail and would up being sold at auction in Omaha. Were they counted as part of the 6400, or were replacement cars manufactured for them to fill orders?

If you go back to that post the cars were repaired and sent on to dealers.
They were repaired at the auction yard because they had the facilities to do the work.
I have heard 708 on the fast SILVER model was final build.
That leaves 5692 of the common models.

RE: Production Car Count??
I was wondering if those cars couldn't have been fixed. From the pics I saw, none of them looked too bad. Two weeks after I got my Mustang, it was in the middle of a hail storm (at the dealership, no less...I'd taken it back for them to do some work on it, and they left it sitting outside). It looked like it had been hit by a sledgehammer, and the repairs were almost $8,000. But did I get a new car? Nooooooooooooo.....it was fixed.

Production figures, I found these figures on one of the Dodge forums. 7,051 2008 SRT8 Challengers includes Mexico, Canada and USA. Total production is Hemi Orange 4,137 produced, Black 2,206 produced, Silver 708 produced. Overall 7,051 SRT8 Dodge Challengers produced. I believe the way the 2009 SRT8 Challengers are slowly making their way into the market, the production figures for the 2009 models will be less than our 2008 Challengers. Just drive em' and enjoy em' !!!!

Kind of a related question here: Is there a way to find out how many Challengers in your state/area are actually sold and on the road? I'm the first sold in my area of any kind of Challenger, would like to know where I stand in the pecking order in my state. I asked my dealer, he said he really wouldn't know how to look that up. Ironically, he told me the silver 6-speed he let me drive days ago was the 2nd manual R/T in the state! Hmmmm.......
