How long for the CEL to re-appear after clearing codes
Hi there, need some schooling on the check engine light (CEL) and its diagnostics, particularly the timing.
My 2014 R/T had a CEL appear (not flashing), the codes were P0300 and P308.
The dealership told me that the car was running normally (which it appears to be), they cleared the codes and told me to head back in if they re-appear.
How long ( roughly ) does It take for the CEL to come back on if the problem is persisting? I’ve driven it for 70 miles now over a 1 week period with a mix of short (4-5miles) and medium (20-30mile) Trips. Does it usually take longer than that to trip the CEL?
I haven’t been hammering the car, just driving it normally each day.
