Hi, new to this forum, and was wondering if my old car still lives..
I bought my old beauty off the showroom floor in Patchogue, NY in October, `70..It`s a Plum Crazy Hemi Challenger, the best car I ever owned..
Due to changes in circumstance, (wife, kids, job change to commuting, etc) I had to set free..I sold it to an older gent in Queens(as I remember), who was a Chrysler "hemi afficianado" who would take good care of it, but lost touch with him...
I always wondered whatever happened to it..I would think that it has been kept, restored, if needed to be, as it was the 426 Hemi, Plum Crazy, with the black vinyl top..
Of course, I would love to have it back(but I could never afford it now). I would really like to see it again, but a few pics would do the job, if the present owner saw this post..
I live in Holbrook, Long Island, NY, near where I lived when I had the car...
A few things I can describe about it from when I had it, possibly the present owner might recognize: On the front fenders, in a light purple script was "426- A Street Odyssey", on the front of the hood in gold leaf, said"Hemi", and across the trunk it said" Only the Strong survive"..It had Hooker headers (part number 5210-ask me why I can still remember that p/n..lol)

If someone sees this post and thinks they may have it (the markings could probably have been removed) I just found my original paperwork, dealer`s invoice, bill of sale, etc which I would be glad to forward to you..I can send the vin number to confirm..

If you own this car now, or know someone who does know its whereabouts, let me know if you want the original papers for it(free)..
