Well, I doubt Charger's facelift would play any role in that -- they've already run cars with "Avenger" stickers on them instead of "Charger." Personally, I hope they NEVER put the Challenger in NASCAR, since it wouldn't be a Challenger at all -- just something with decals that say "Challenger."

Of course you mean the Sprint Cup series when you say NASCAR.

I'm sure you applaud a pseudo (real) Stock car series w/ real pony cars racing road courses and ovals wouldn't ya?

Definitely. Winston Cup/Nextel Cup/Sprint Cup, whatever it's called now, is like watching funny cars. A TRUE stock car race would be great!

Thats a very good analogy, I like that. The last kind of true stock car ( bodies only) was indeed back in the 70's and older. When under nascar rules the cars had to fit with-in .70" of the actual manufactured car template, chrome bumpers and tin plates over the light holes. Those were the days when racing was racing.
