I think they are just going to test out the market. They have mentioned before that the first year might be limited production and the years after that will offer the 5.7L and possibly a V6. I don't think Dodge would have included the 3.5L and 5.7L if they weren't intending to offer them.

 

Yes, but the date is what I was refering to. An anoucement in the fall this year, for the 07's that would come out in the spring. Isn't the spring time strongest time for car sales? That would only be about a year away!!![sm=happybounce.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif]

 

Well it is not unusual to do that though. I think what they are doing is doing strategic selling for the OTHER cars. It is probably going to be released for the purpose of bringing people to the dealerships during the fall since it tends to slow down during that time, to keep the models selling. Having a car like the Challenger brings people to dealerships in the first place. After test driving and looking the car over, they decide to go with a Charger, Stratus, or something else because they decide it isn't exactly what would fulfill their needs. It is a really good strategy when you really think about it. It doesn't matter if they release it on December 25th, people would be at the dealerships waiting in line to look at it.

I doubt they can get it ready that quickly. But if they do, I would be there on December 25th if there was one in the show room that day!

 

There you see the strategy works. It doesn't matter if its off season, people will be there no matter what.

I think it's just more rumors. I'm done listening to "so and so said." There hasn't even been an announcement yet that it's a go. I went to the dealer Friday to find out if my salesman had any news. "Nope, when I hear something I'll let you know." I'm good with that because he knows I'm serious about this being my next new car purchase. I do agree however that spring 2007 is about the time these will start rolling out. Until then I'm waiting .......impatiently waiting.

 

I have read that it could be Spring or Fall of 2007 so basically a year to 18 months from now.

Hopefully, their marketing team will do it justice in coming out with several variations for all to enjoy.
