2008 arrived at dealer today
That's terrible that they are destroying #7 in a movie. That is possibly the best number, or one of the best.
Why the heck couldn't they use the prototypes in the movie, which they were going to destroy anyway???
Is 1701 a reference to Star Trek? I didn't think of that one. Great number.
The numbers that I would like are 1, 7, 13, 66, 69, 666, 711, 999, 1701, and 3333.
666 would be really cool. I could paint a naked red devil girl on it with horns and tail.

well thats all well and good..but consider the 71 cuda has far more appeal then the 70...i guess if we were talking chargers there is a huge price difference from 70 to 71...with speshul colors and the strong possibility of the 6.4L backed by a 6 speed the 08's may not be that strong...ill even state the obvious..a muscle car is not a muscle car with an automatic...not much different then...there is no relacement for big block displacement....so..i guess the noses can be pointed skyward for a month or two and you can go on siping your drinks with little umbrellas in em and then some pimply nose kid ends wup with a limelite speshul 10 color vert with the 6.4L and your 08 dont look that great anymore

While the '08 Challengers will definitely have some value due to being limited edition. You have to wonder how much value that will be (if any) over the '09 SRT8s given that the only difference is a badge/carbon fiber stripes. With the '09 offering a 6-speed manual I might even expect an '09 SRT8 6-Speed Hemi Orange car to hold more value than the '08s given that Hemi Orange is a limited time deal for '09s, too.
Just food for thought if someone is planning on snagging an '08 SRT8 over an '09 SRT8 for resale value alone. Seems a bit silly in my opinion.

I am unsure about snooter, but the only point I was trying to make was that if you're buying an '08 versus a different year with the SOLE purpose of resale value, it's probably a bad call.
Want the '08 for first edition cool factor? good stuff
Want the plaque and/or carbon fiber stripes? good stuff
Just want it RIGHT NOW? good stuff
etc.
But my point was that if all you want it for is resale -- you're probably purchasing the wrong model year as the '09 6-speeds will probably hold more value, especially the Hemi Oranges assuming that 09 is the last year hemi orange is available, making '09 the only year a 6-speed hemi orange was available.
I'm not here to argue what is faster/cooler/etc., just thinking its ridiculous to buy an '08 for resale value alone given the options for the '09.
