2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8; Revealed Officially

RE: 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8; Revealed Officially
A 2008 GT 500 for 10 over for about $55,000. You need another $20,000 for the ZO6. I would say the GT 500 is a very fair price even at 10 over. Yes the ZO6 will beat it. it weighs 700 pounds less and 5 more hp. There is a K&N filter system you can purchase for $275 that opens up 53 rear wheel hp and that gets you close to the Vette. The Challenger is not going to be as fast but less of these will be made than the 500's and I think they look much better than the 500.

RE: 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8; Revealed Officially
The concept interior was so much cooler. The production interior is lame.
I don't get it. Whoever designed the concept basically knew what looked cool.
Then whoever designed the production version decided to take away the coolness
and make it just an ordinary, dumb looking car interior. WTF? Wow there sure
are a lot of stupid people in the American auto industry making lots of stupid
decisions. If they go out of business, then good riddance. They deserve to.
It's like "lets take away the cool looking stick shift and replace it with a big dumb
lump of crap" and "Lets limit the colors to only 3 and make one of them silver,
which is one of the most boring car colors ever and is almost never used for a muscle
car." I know there are many
incompetent, stupid people in general, but you'd think they'd have better people
in charge of something as important as designing a car. I don't know if I want the
Challenger anymore. I wonder if they decided to lame down the first year Challenger
and then make the 2nd year version better.
I think it really sucks that you pretty much can't get a beautifully designed car unless you
pay 6 figures for a Ferarri or Ford GT or something like that. Virtually all the cars costing
under $50,000 look like they were designed by RETARDS!!!
Edited to add: After reading this whole thread, and looking at the Charger pictures, I've come
to the conclusion that the management's line of thinking was "We're just going to stick a
Charger interior into this car because we don't give a crap and this car isn't that important
to us anyway and we don't care about doing it right." I knew there would be some kind of
trouble with that new Chrysler chairman. I think now we're seeing the results. We get less
than what we wanted. He sure screwed things up. He screwed up Home Depot royally and
now he messed up the Challenger. Maybe they decided to use a Charger interior to save a
small amount of money on production while still charging people $40K plus any dealer markup.
I don't think this is the dream car I wanted. I think maybe I'll just pass on it.
I always believe in doing things right when I do things. And when I buy products I like to buy
products that are done right, not done half-assed by jerks who don't care.

Although this Porsche Cayman is $49K, compare the Challenger interior to this one... Dodge should have done a little better. If not the quality, then maybe add some character to the design. But I'm hoping the manual will at least have the pistol grip. Oh, and give me the Challenger over this car any day of the week!

All the whining, griping and complaining escapes me. We should be thankful we have even been given the chance to own a car of this magnitude in today's economical and social environment. I for one most certainly am.
And by the way billionaire, thanks for giving up on the Challenger and giving someone who will appreciate the opportunity a chance at one... Cheers!!
...bunch of whiners... [:'(]

I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I like the bottom picture better. It actually looks more like the interior of the original Challengers. [&:]
