I do think I am gettting a great deal as that is what was shown to me in black and white. They are faxing over the price sheet and when they do I will list everything price wise that is on there.

Hi Thor77,

I guess you are right. I too went to my local dealer to discuss the price on an 09. Due to circumstances at the dealer, they agreed on a decent price on the 08 I had "ordered" in December. My pricing posts have been in response to actual prices quoted on this site. They are also in defense of 08 buyers who seem to take a few jabs, from 09 buyers and or waiting to buy, because they indicate that the 08 buyers paid too much. As you stated, I believe most 08 buyers got a fair deal. And, with the unprecedented interest in this car, the 09 buyers that I have seen a getting a good deal also.

It would have to be Bud. Thats actually got to be at his cost.
The $43,535 of mine with tax title inspection and registration will end up being around $46,210 when it's all said and done. Then I get to bring it back to NY, pay the difference on sales tax -another 2% or $870 - reregister retitle and reinspect it - another $120.
Im looking at $47,200 plus gas and tolls to get it from eastern Ohio to eastern NY - another $125.
Good for you! Thats one helluva deal youre getting.

Not according to the invoice I got from my dealer today. Code 3EJ - Gas Guzzler Tax $1700.
It's different for the automatic - $2100. My guess is that's why its listed seperately.
I wasnt thrilled with that either.

Any one know the invoice price for a 2009 Challenger SRT 8 with all options except the sunroof?

Thanks
As a matter of fact, my SRT order came in at $44,425. That includes all options except for the sun roof (impractical in Texas), and $1700 gas guzzler tax. But what do I care, I work for an oil company and get all my gas for free.

I was told the SE has very little mark up due to its low price a dealer told me he would make less the a 1000 bucks on the car at retail is this correct .

I will have a little over 46000 in my 08 with NAV.Sunroof and Tires

DiamDave , yopur math is all wrong !!! Take my MSRP of $35,025 and subtract it from SRT8 msrp of $40,145 and you get $5,120 not $2,000. Lets keep the facts and math straight. FATCAT

Believe me, I am not gloating or showing off..just sharing numbers etc. for what I have gotten. I do agree it seems cheaper compared to what is being discussed but as I said I will post all the numbers as soon as the dealer sends the price sheet over to me.

I do think that the $42 is not counting my $1000 so that would make it $43, still a bit lower than prices batted around here but at least a bit more sensible. I should know more tomorrow.

Dealer profit on the base SE ($21320 MSRP) is $1352.00 plus 3% holdback ($639.00) = $1991.00

On the SE with the 26G package ($25,115 MSRP) dealer profit is $1576.00 plus 3% holdback ($753.00) = $2329.00

Now add all the options and you could add another $400-$500 of profit.

Bottom line: Dealer will make $2,000-$3,000 profit on a Challenger SE... PLUS any profits on accessories, extended warranty, financing and other dealer add-ons.
