Thanks for the info I am thinking of a se for a driver I was going to get a RT but just to much money to have it a 08 at home .

 

I was using the 2008 SRT MSRP of $37,320 as my base figure. If your MSRP includes destination and gas guzzler tax, then I stand corrected. I still feel that both of us got great deals, taking into account engines and options. I do appologize if I disturbed anyone with my observations.

I hope we all get our Challengers soon and can share pictures and stories.

Darn, that would be a good toss up for jobs with free stuff..Do you take the free gas or free money (if it was an option) seems I would take the gas as it is getting way more valuable than money! With teh Challenger, I would have to say gas for sure.

 

Fellas, I was kidding. I wish I could get all my gas for free, but the truth is I only get .05 cents off per gallon.
Now you may not believe this, but that is more than a refiner makes on a gallon of gasoline. Profit margin on refining is abyssmal and if oil companies had there way, they would not even be in the gasoline business.

DiamDave, well I to got an official E-mail from Dodge follwed up by a letter inviting me to order my SRT8 for a base price of $40.095. Now maybe you can expain to me EXACTLY what a "SRT8 X Pkg"is??? As I've never seen it mentioned in this forum or in any letters or Dodge ads. Is this a Fleet price or something else?....I thought all 2008SRT8's were numbered collectors editions? Expain to me please, FAT CAT

To repeat for the third time, if you add the $675 destination charge and the $2,100 gas guzzler tax, then you are correct. I merely stated that the base price was less.

I will also repeat, that from what I have read in this forum, most buyers are getting a fair deal whether they are ordering an 08 or an 09.
