I was wondering if anyone knows what's holding up six speed cars from showing up on dealers lots. I haven't seen one even advertised on Autotrader or any place else.

 

I've seen them on e-bay but at no local dealer. I guess nobody wants a manual anymore. Kills me how they charge you for a manual over the auto trans. Use to be the other way around.

Doesn't surprise me that you will have to pay more for the manual since a lot of people want the manual. Just as they charged more for the 08 SRT8...they seem to view the new Challenger as a cash cow (and no I don't mean it's 4100 pound weight).
I would like to see the first head to head matchup between an auto and a manual SRT8, should be interesting.

 

The ones I've seen on eBay are not in stock - just a chance to buy one to be delivered at some point in the future. My guess is they are stalling until all the 08's are sold.

 

My 6 speed went from status C to D on Monday, but I can't get too excited until it gets to D1.

 

Mine is D1 with a scheduled (lies) shipment date of 22 sept.

 

Mine changed to truck dispatch this afternoon so I will be seeing my ORANGE beauty very soon.

 

As in truck dispatch to the dealer??

 

Doesnt say. All it says is for location is on the truck and for current status its truck dispatch. I would imagine its gong to the distribution center. I would certainly wish it was to the dealer but I know better! Its still a race between fatcat, mss3dodge, skids and myself who will see thier car first!
