Question Accuracy of Tire Pressure Sensors

Yesterday, I checked the air pressure in my tires. They were all down between 29-30 lbs, per the EVIC. I used a digital pressure guage and pumped them up to 35 psi. When I checked the EVIC, they read 34 psi. I guess that my guage is off by 1 psi.

How accurate are the tire pressure sensors?

I don't think they are very accurate, but I have never taken the time to check to see how far off they are. All I know is that evertime I took the car out in the winter they were telling me one tire or the other was low. I finally got tired of messing with them and put a few extra pounds of air in the tire to shut them up.
