Last time I my hood open, it did not want ot latch when I tried to close it. After multiple tries, I went back inside and pulled the hood release under the dash again. Then I was able to close the hood.

However, the next time I went to open the hood, I pulled the release but the hood would not open. Now the release handle "feels" like it is released and I can feel the cable attached at the back of the release handle. Maybe a broken cable or more likely the hardware at the hood latch came apart. But the hood will not open.

It will go into the dealer early next week, the first time my schedule allows for me to get it there.

I'll let everyone know more about it when I get it back.

 

The dealer replaced the hood latch release cable mechanism. The cable had come apart from the latch at the front of the hood. All covered under warrantee.
