DOH! I forgot about that being the #1 Challenger being auctioned off at BJ. In that case... forget everything I said in my previous post - I say a cool $500K at least.

$250001..oh wait, this isn't the Price is Right (and I couldn't stand those people who did that). I don't know I would imagine the very first one would easily go over $300, be purchased by a Aftermarket Corporation who wanted to get some shameless plugging in "You know something like We are the Number 1 name in aftermarket parts for Challengers...so be sure to blah blah blah"....then they'd probably be really slick and write it off as a promotional expense, etc..... so I can imagine there'll be some pretty astronomically high bids with this in mind, and if these types of companies aren't bright enough to see this as an excellent promotional opp.

My guess is closer to $200K. The Challenger just doesn't have the history of the Mustang or Corvette.

For the very first one? That's kind of historic in its own right, no? If someone walks away with the first new challenger for a paltry 200G's, that someone got a honey of a deal.

You could argue that point. History implies another fact...a lot of production which potentially dilutes the value. I think, for example, if you go back to last year's BJ and check one of the highest priced cars purchased was a Challenger.

I think part of what may drive the auction higher as well is that all proceeds will go to charity, so BJ may push for stronger bidding before announcing to the lucky winner...sold, sold, sold! My take is it would go for around $200k for the car itself, but this weekend will be the tell all.

I'm thinking myself it won't go past 250K, who knows. Maybe the guy in the Ferrari hat will by it!!
Who ever gets it will be putting it away i'm sure.
