Question Blast from the Past

I was looking over the new car brochures from 1970-71 and came across Dodge's Scat Pack and Plymouth's Rapid Transit System brochures (see below). I was amazing to see how creative the advertising was 40 years ago. Couldn't they do something similar, today, with the SRT and R/T line of Dodge cars? Or, must Dodge be "politically correct" and not glorify high performane, low mileage cars in this "environmentally-sensitive" age?

I'm curious why there appears to be a heroin junkie next to the '71 Challenger. If that were my car, I'd chase him away.

It's his car! He is selling it for a fix.
