Charger Cop comes up to me at 7-11
I thought I would share this with the group lol.
I was in 7-11 getting my Cafe con Leche , when a white Broward County Traffic Homicide Charger (3.5L Chris LOL) pulls into 7-11 and parks right next to my car and walks in and in a very loud tone says ...
"WHOS CHALLENGER ???"
I was standing at the register dressed in wrinkled cloths and somewhat dirty shoes (I am not big on fashon at all I could care less if my shoes are old or my shirt is a little off white) , and I turn to him and say
ME : Oh , that's mine !
OFFICER : It's yours ....
ME : Yep my dad got it for my 21st Bday.
OFFICER : Your dad got it for you .... (scarcastic)
ME : Yep , SRT-
OFFICER : You dad paid a 20k markup for that thing ? When the Camaro comes out it won't even be worth 20k peroid(reffering to my challenger).
ME : I said no he didn't pay 20k over it was only 9 over
That's it.
This guy apparentley didn't like the fact I had this car maybe it's because i'm 21 and the tattoos everywhere didn't impress him (which shouldn't , they were mistakes made through my teenagerhood)
BUT WOW DID I FEEL LIKE A MILLION BUCKS AFTER THAT ENCOUNTER !!! IT'S THE BEST ATTENTION I EVER GOT !!!

RE: Charger Cop comes up to me at 7-11
I had a similiar incident with a cop in Pinal County, AZ. He pulls in behind me at a local gas station while I'm filling up and
Cop: Is that a new Challenger
Me: Yes it is
Cop: that's a limited edition so what number is it
Me: 904
Cop: How did you get one?
Me: What?
Cop: I thought only the the very well to do would get LE version
Me: I'm doing ok
Cop: so where do you work.
Me: Where I work has nothing to do with this car I pay for it out of my retirement check.
Cop: Retirement, you're not old enough to be retired
Me: Officer while your mother was changing your diaper and walking you to school I was standing on the front line of freedom at places like the Fulda Gap and the DMZ. I earned the right to drive this car and I have the financial means to do so. Have a great day
Cop: You too and thanks for your service.
I see him all the time and he just waves.

All I've gotten from cops is two who yelled "great car!" while driving alongside in a Crown Victoria squad car and one who asked me if that was my 09 out in the lot when my wife and I were at the Pizza Hut (we were about the only customers, so it was fairly obvious). I said yeah, and he, too said, "Great car!" Of course, it helps when you look like The Man....
