RE: clunck on backing out of parking spot
My SRT has done the same thing since day one. Seems to be coming from the right front side (but I always back out and turn the wheels left into the street). I think it has a lot to do with the combination of the tire size and the stiffer suspension going over an elevational change (slight drop from the driveway to the road surface).
It only happens when I first back out from being parked overnight - for a good amount of time.
Other than the clunk backing out and turning into the street at the end of the driveway, the car is solid as a rock in all of the gears.
I'm not worried about it.

I have the same problem with the Challenger and also had the problem with my 300C SRT8. Seems there is a problem with brake clearance and on a tight turn in reverse, things get hung up. Pull your front wheels off and you can see where it hits. Chrysler replaced the calipers on the 300 under warranty (after the service department tried a 'lets just grind some off here at the shop" fix [:@] ) .

Of course, if you've noticed fewer and fewer small children and dogs in your neighborhood, the odd feeling COULD be because you really can't see all that well when you're backing up a Challenger.
By the way: Glad to see that the ever-optimistic Wallstreetman fully expects Chrysler to be here in 2011. All is right in America now.

my 300C was a 2006...if it hasn't been fixed yet, what makes you think it will be fixed by 2011??
ORIGINAL: wallstreetman
Just another reason to wait for 2011 and the 6.4.

Now theres a lawsuit if I've ever seen one, selling product known to be faulty!
