To the questions about front license plate plugs. I already make those
To others, the plugs arent difficult to move out even with adhesion. If you spread adhesion all around the edges of the plug then yes they might be difficult to move but if you put only one drop like I suggested that leaves the other sides easy to pull back far enough to grab the plug and pull it out.
Light adhesion such as 3M glues and silicones are always rubbery and dont harm the paint.

You are correct about the 2M tape. I had it on my last car for 4 years and removed with ease with necessary.
