fatcat... your two vin #s have the same last 6 digits.. Not possible as these are sequential LX build numbers... Better check with your dealer. Cheers!

 

Mopar2ya I did not mean to say they were 2 different Vin numbers but that maybe the dealer transposed the 9th and 10th numbers in the Vin as I see in the 2009 unoficial Challenger registry there are a lot of 99 in those Vins and my dealer said mine was 89 . So I meant for anyone to check using the 2 different 9th and 10th digits in the Vin my dealer told me In any case thanks a lot for trying and sorry for the confusion Fat Cat[sm=gears.gif]

 

Ahhh... gotcha! I might add then that I believe one of those digits is a check digit that has to add up to make the vin# meet a certain numeric value... if that makes any sense to you fatcat. It would be the digit in question I believe so that could be the culprit. Could be any alpha or numeric character. Let me try some and get back to you. Cheers!

 

OK... so I tried substituting that character with every letter and number and still come up with nothing. Looks like you will need to get the number from your dealer... unless... you have not reached status d1 yet in which case it will not be available yet.
