As more and more reviews come in I'm really leaning SRT. It seems the auto R/T maybe lacking a bit, it maybe the equivalent of the 1970 383 R/T. Will the six-speed 2009 R/T be the 440 R/T of 1970? Is the auto SRT the 440 Six-Pak and the six-speed the HEMI of 1970? I know one can't make exact comparisons it is not 1970 anymore, any 2009 will out handle and brake the vintage but you know what I'm saying.

I've come to conclusions that even if it means less wine and eating more tuna the SRT must go in my garage.

Interesting. I have many of the same comments as you regarding my own 08 SRT: the size (inside and out), the exhaust is too quiet (cat back on order), and I just installed the side graphics.

Enjoy your car!
My exhaust is loud as hell when revved up in my garage ... I don't see why people complain about the pipes on the srt8 .. I know there not Zoomers but they are certintley not quiet ... I get lots of heads turning around when I simply accelerate through a turn because of the sound ...

srt8 is loud .

The stock exhaust is loud when on the pipe but the ZOOMERS are much louder...and may add a few ponies.
When your next to a Challenger with them doing 100 down freeway and you both hit gas..the ZOOMERS stand out
even when they're behind you...

UPDATE...................

Today DAY 1 - windows tinted - looks great

I stopped at ACE hardware and got black rubber bolt caps for 79 cents and put them on today.

This should sheild the materials from the sharp end of the bolts.

Tomorrow DAY 2 - exhaust work (old reliable shop - Caribe Muffler on Bird Road)

Tomorrow DAY 2 - classic R/T side stripes installation

I am waiting on the LOCKPIK equipment to arrive so that I get full use of the NAV/MYGIG system.

55 miles driven so far - damn this thing is smooooooth.

The weather down here has been pretty rough today...........pictures will be posted when the sun comes returns!

Going to be picking my up tomorrow morning, she arrived today. Having dealer due a few alts, and she is mine. God willing. Next step insurance and then off to Zoomers to install custom R/T Zoomers exhaust kit. I will be the first '09 Challenger R/T with Zoomers by this weekend.

I like to hear an agressive note on start-up. It seems to me there's more noise from the engine compartment in terms of the accessory drive than exhaust note. Oddly, my 08 Tahoe sounds much better at idle than the Challenger does - completely unacceptable in my book.
