thanks wallstreet I know. I have an accident on my record that should come off in the next 6 months so that's what's holding me back from a really good quote. Since they only stay on your record for 3 years it is technically off next month but I'll have to wait for a re-quote. Ohh yeah I do have one speeding ticket showing also. So yeah mine won't be perfect. But like I said by the time I get my Challenger it should be where it's supposed to be. A perfect clean slate. Let's say I had a few indiscretions the first couple years I bought the Hemi. I mean I was 18,19,20. I've learned it just makes it a whole lot easier as you grow up, you know?

Well I bought the car brand new, it's a 2005. When I first got it I was 19 and I was paying $250 a month. It got cut in half when I turned 21. I'd expect it to get cut in half again when I'm 25.

Called about insurance today. Quoted me $406.39 for 6 months with full coverage and low deductibles... $812.78 a year. That's a whoppin' $67.73 per month. I think I can live with that but I am kinda curious though why the Neon is only $10/year less...
May I ask you what company you are using . thanks...

We get our insurance through a broker... Bell Anderson Agency in Bellevue Washington. The Actual insurance company that covers our vehicles is Mutual of Enumclaw. M of E is a locally based property and casualty insurance company that operates in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah. Not sure it is available in other states. We beat up our insurance broker for better rates about once every year, and this one seems to have been the best over the past couple of years. Cheers!

My insurance quote for my SRT8 is $1,122 per 6-months, this is compared to my current $1,052 per 6-months for my 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP

Moving from 4-door 240hp FWD to 2-door 425hp RWD is $70 per 6-month increase? uh.. okay, sure, I'll take that.

I am 23 and have a flawless record.

Other quotes I got for the SRT8 were (these are all per 6-month) $1,464, $3,196, $2,370, $2,259

Huge disparity in various companies with their quotes. Oddly enough the insurance company I am currently with had the lowest (The $1,122)

Nice to hear Venthos,
Cudos to you on your undertaking of the SRT8 too brother.... So glad i've got somone I can compare to. Those rates sound really good too. I really don't think i'll pay anymore than that for an R/T i've got a couple blemishes on my record but my slate should be totally clean by the end of the year. Baring some un-forseen things. Oh by the way who insures you??? Good luck and drive safe..

My father works for an insurance agency (so my quotes do include the discount I get for being a family member of an agent), but the companies the agency had quoted for me were:

(Keep in mind these are not big name nation-wide insurance companies and most are likely centralized to Michigan)
Citizens of America: $1,122
Cincinnati: $1,464
Frankenmuth: $3,196
Harleysville Lake States: $2,370
Michigan Millers: $2,259

COVERAGE:
Bodily Injury: $100,000 / $300,000
Property Damage: $100,000
Uninsured Motorist: $100,000 / $300,000
Underinsured Motorist: $100,000 / $300,000
Personal Injury Protection: EXCESS
Property Damage Buyback: YES
PIP Wage: FULL COVERAGE

VEHICLE LEVEL COVERAGE:
Comprehensive: $100 Deductible
Collision, Broadened: $500 Deductible
Property Protection: YES
Rental Reimbursement: 35/1000
Towing and Labor: 50

In traffic school they said that if your insurance is very high, you could just go get a bond instead of insurance. Anybody know how much that would cost?

Got my vin today and called gieco to get a quoat on what my challenger added to my policy would cost, 278 dollars more every 6 months. so 556 a year. Not bad for full coverage 500 deduct. and full glass. Im also not 25 years old yet.
