dealers dont have a clue...thats why they are dealers...

this person was obviously making this up to get peoples hopes up...and while i cant control the lies that get spread by the likes of the srtforums and allpar people, i can control them here..hes gone.

 

I kept my mouth shut on this one as the last time I "challenged" (pun intended) a guy throwing around dubious info we had a big blowup with people flaming each other. I stand by my contention that these lists are 98% crap (maybe if your Dad owns the place you can get on a list). If you walk into a dealership and they have the car you want and you can strike a deal they will sell you the car. The guy on the list will get hosed. He's on a list...you are on property with a checkbook. Anyone honestly think that, as aggressive a sales environment as a car dealership, the sales manager is going to tell you we can't do a deal because you are not on a list? C'mon...

 

You got to watch those guys in Texas.....they are weird.

 

I see a lot of similarity regarding dealer behavior (and product knowledge) and pricing issues between Challenger and when retro Thunderbird was coming out in 2002. Been there, done that. Prices have dropped for T bird, but not bad.

Okay, Okay, let's stay away from the name calling. It is their money and they can do with it what they please.

Who knows maybe they are millionaires and this is just chump change for them.

I have to say though, no mater how much spare change you have lying around you don't sign an open ended contract with no purchase price...that's rediculous.

Buffett didn't get to be Buffett doing things like that! I mean the man drives a Cadillac...he's got style.

 

Rob....I totally agree but let help and make suggestions to people and always stay away from name calling to friends, neighbors, your children or anybody else.

Calling people names is belittlling and condemning to people. I hope nobody on this forum calls their wives or kids stupid idiots as this causes harm in
ways you could not imagine. Kids self esteem are totally destroyed and sometimes for life.

The saying, "Stick and stones will break by bones but words will never hurt me" is totally false and words do hurt.

I hope everybody understands what I am trying to say.

If you were called names when you were growing up by your Dad or Mom then I am truly sorry and you know how it made you feel.
