Next week, Dodge will stop leasing car and trucks. I think these guys are about done, but ya never know. Hope not, I've got a '09 rt on order! What do you guy s think?

I agree mopar2ya,
A smart move before it MUST be done. Look at Fords write down of 8.7 billion dollars on adjusted inventory values.
I think it’s a smart call, and will save billions in losses for Chrysler in the next 3-5 years. Even the 1000 job cuts Dodge is doing is largely by retirement, early retirement incentives, or fruition. Only a few jobs will be cut without a check being cut as well.
The good ole Government wont allow the big 3 to just go under, but I bet 1 of 3 dies in the next three years. I will bet 2-1 that Dodge is not the one.

As a dealer I can confirm that as of the end of the month Chrysler Financial will discontinue leasing at this time.
I also can confirm that GMAC will do the same thing as of the end of August.
Most banks have already stopped leasing and the ones that do will most likely stop due to the market conditions. During the meeting with the credit managers Chrysler says that this is due to the unstable market making it impossible to set values using residuals. Just FYI , Chrysler expects oil to drop to $87 per barrel by the end of 2009 and fuel to be in the $2.20 rage but of course there are NO GUARANTEES !
