in my opinion, MDS is absolutely pointless. You will never get 4cyl in city. And as far as freeway, on my 2008 avalanche if i barely touch the accelerator it kicks back up 8. Bacailly it only is ever at 4 when you are not touching the accelerator and doing about 60 mph.... That or the avalanche is busted. Who knows.
I don't agree...
The MDS turns on around 45 for me, and I've had it stay on for cruising as high as 85. I get some acceleration without the MSD kicking off (but press that pedal a little too hard or go on an upgrade and it comes right off) I cruised 50 miles on the NJTP with the cruise control on and MSD engaged the whole time... I reset my MPG and after the cruise I was getting almost 28mpg.

Not too bad for a 370+hp V8
