Has anyone seen a Dodge in Tor-Red? This will be one of the three colors for the 2009 SRT. I wanted Hemi-Orange but may have to settle for this. Does it "pop" like the orange?

I googled an image of a car in TorRed. I definitely like it much more than other shades of red, at least on a muscle car. It's extra bright and it has sort of a neon glow to it, like a lot of other high impact mopar heritage colors. I think it "pops" more than hemi orange. The web site lists two shades of red that are not TorRed but the brochure lists TorRed. I dunno if the 2009 SRT will come in TorRed. The web site says it will be high performance Red. I think it is really stupid to offer TWO shades of red but making neither one of them TorRed. The only red we need is TorRed. I think the Challenger doesn't look right in other shades of red. It's not a Ferrari so it shouldn't be painted like one. It should be painted like a 70's mopar car.

Well im hoping dodge will open up the paint pallette and at the same time aquire some rolls of white leather for their interiors. However if thats not in the cards i can always bring it to a reputable body shop and have them remove and re-paint body panels in the color of my choice. And if need be i can always find an auto interior business to give me the white interior too as well as a white convertible top if necessary. So when the time comes i will have my challenger the way i want it. Theres more than one way to skin a cat.

I saw this on several sources. Allpar, for one, still lists Tor-red as a color option for the 2009 Challenger SRT. See below:

"New colors for the 2009 version of the Challenger SRT8 are classic B5 Blue (late availability) and TorRed — in addition to Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat and Bright Silver Metallic."

Tor-red is more red than orange.
