IMO the r/t will be a nice compromise if price and gas mileage is any consideration. Stripes and spoilers can easily be added probably for less in the aftermarket. My big question is will they offer a stock performance exhaust for the r/t?

is it me or does anyone notice, it appears something body/frame driven is causing grief on the rear of the car, especially the black valance and exhaust tips. exhaust tips are not per the sneak peeks, black valance is taller thus car from side is carrying a taller black stripe carrying into the front black valance. If you look at concept which is loved by all- the black paint between valances is much shorter, thus allowing rectangle exhaust tips to fit snug and stripe down side of car much much thinner and wayu more atractive. the prod pix from side are disguising a production flaw compared to concept. what do you think? i have one on order but want to see it in person b4 final opinion/

ORIGINAL: cncpt2prod!

Why do all cars look alike these days...why is the front end so short and sloped down? Aerodynamics?
I would assume that and safety considerations. A major drawback to the original Challengers -- especially the 1970 model, since it didn't have a hood that absorbed any kind of impact -- was that you DID stand the chance of being decapitated in a crash at certain angles.

Sounds like a good way to advertise the car. "The new dodge challenger, this one won't decapitate you"

Hmm, that actually brings to mind the space shuttle that exploded, do you think the name could have a negative effect on the car these days?

I love reading all of these comments, both positive and negative. but lets not forget that the car has not been officially released. These cars being seen are still just test mules.

I doubt that this long after the explosion that many people will link the Challenger car with the late space shuttle.

This is a very important point that these are just test mules and while they are closer to the production they are still subject to change.
