Question about temperature guage
Now that it's cold, my temp guage does not move for the longest time, even after the heater is throwing out good warm air. Anyone else notice how long it takes for the needle to finally move, or is it just mine?
Well I'm sure it's somewhat cooler where you are but I've noticed the same. I should also mention I've made some adjustments to my fans operation parameters via the Diablo Predator. I also noted the car is much stronger in these cooler temps.
A wierd little trait I noticed about MOPAR's equipped with the temperature gauge.......
If you go directly from park to drive, it takes a while for the temp to move,
BUT if you back up (use reverse) for 5 - 10 seconds (like backing out of a driveway) before going into a forward gear, the temperature seems to adjust quicker.
Don't ask me why.
It's just something I noticed on my '01 PT Cruiser and my wife's Charger R/T.
