If you wait until January 2009, I am confident that you will be able to buy a Challenger of your choice for MSRP or less. That is what I plan to do. Do your homework. Check dealer inventories on-line at www.dodge.com. Be prepared to buy from a dealer out of state, if necessary. Also, try to negotiate on-line with the dealer's fleet manager.

 

millionare lol i wish stop complaining and keep workin hard you will find away to get one if that is what you really want like cuda340 said you may have to wait do alot of leg work to find the best deal so you may not be able to get an 08 but maybe an 09 or 10

Oh yeah I can hold out for another year, its not going to be fun but I will be waiting for my price. It just makes me a tad bit upset to think all the marketing available for this and the retro stuff involved that this is all they are able to come up with? I know moneys are tight in DC land but come on another Charger SRT or a Magnum SRT or a 300 SRT all the same options and colors, what did the marketing director fall asleep on this one or what? Not worried about being able to buy mine just a bit perplexed that they went this route with the car that could change a lot for this company and bring a lot of prestige of the old days back home to a much needed place. All is cool I just hate that I've been so wanting them to do MORE with this concept not just let it go to waste so to speak. Just so all here know me a bit better, I at this time own 7 Mopars so my loyalities are still true to DC as they have been since the day I was able to buy one back in 1976. And they always will be, MOPAR OR NOCAR for me! Cuda 340, I have to agree thats poetry! I came on just to rank a bit hoping things might get going in the direction to change the way the MANAGERS thought of doing this and maybe give us the FANS and PUBLIC a better chance at a really cool retro ride (with the hopes of a few more color choices and options) by getting enough to back it so Mother Mopar would listen and take notice and make the changes instead of another cookiecutter copy from an already nice and neat lineup. ( remember the Charger concept and what it looked like and what the public actually got?) Lots were disappointed to say the least, and here we go again is all I am ranting about. Sorry it fell on deaf ears here.

 

people think of the charger before the challenger so I am surprised they remade the 2 door challenger than a 2 door charger. I woulnt mind a band new 2 door '69 charger! But of coarse it would have to look nothing like the new chargers

 

They really expecting the old guy who used to drive an old Charger to buy a Charger for his family hence the 4 door.

It has been reported that the 2009 Challenger will have the new LC platform-a updated version of the LX.

The LC is a shortened version of the LY for the Challenger.

I guess this means that the 2009 model may be less bulky than the 2008 model. Another reason to wait for the 2009s!
