I took my baby to the dealer to document the bolt problem. The service advisor agreed that the existing bolts would pierce the new leather, and two days later I have shorter bolts in place!!

I took my car to the dealer, service manager filed a report with Chrysler, than gave me a copy for my files. The rubber vaccum caps are working fine for the time being.

I stopped at ACE hardware and bought black rubber bolts caps for 79 cents and put them on today.

This will sheild the materials from the sharp end of the bolts.
