The SR71 BLACKbird never had arms on board. It outran missles fired at it by the Chinese on a recon mission (SR - Spy Reconissaince). All that machine had on board was cameras and a ton of FAST. And yes, it was JET BLACK (NOT Jet Silver or Jet Orange you say?). Still holds all of the speed records by a production jet aircraft.

 

Orange says HEMI and black and silver....well, you know.

Ok my 2 cents. The engine is painted Hemi Orange, it is a Hemi engine and the fastest color is Hemi Orange. I see a pattern here. Better get used to it guys, no matter what color car you have, there lurks the Hemi Orange beast under the hood and with out that Hemi Orange engine, the Silver, Black, White etc. car will not be moving anywhere never mind fast. Regardless of which color is faster, I am sure we can all agree that to all of the "Stang folks, Camaro, and all ricer communities, the only color they will see will be red...of the tailights as they disappear in the distance!!!!

Oh and to further the history lesson, the U2 that was shot down was SILVER and it was shot down with a WHITE missle. So that would tend to tell me that white is faster than silver!
