Spare donut tire
RG ,what i was told and what I got. I was told that all Challengers come with that set of tire glue and a air pump thats supposed to get you going unless you blow out an entire tire. He then said for $100 you can order a compact spare tire. I did and my Challenger came complete with that compact tire and jack and lug wrench. Yes it is a 18 inch and I have the 20 " wheels but I'm not worried just to get me to service dept, or home, compact will do. Uh da da da thats all folks, Fat Cat[sm=gears.gif]

Does anybody actually have the spare tire for their Challenger? I told the salesman when I ordered the car that I wanted one. He eventually told me he couldn't order one because the SE didn't offer them, but that he'd order a donut spare separately. Two weeks after I get the car, he now tells me that while he can order the wheel for the donut spare, no manufacturers yet are making the required-size tire. Has anyone else encountered this?

Not that I recall. I'll check when I get home.

Paladin, does Crush have a space under the trunk mat for a compact spare? The 09 does. Not that it does a lot of good, since apparently only eight tires were manufactured and are in a warehouse someplace in Louisiana, so right now you can only buy a spare WHEEL. Unless you happen to order an R/T, in which case the complete tire and wheel come with the car. Maybe. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssh! [&:]

Well, for anyone needing a spare tire, the 17-inch Chrysler 300 wheel offered by Discount Tires indeed does fit the Challenger. It and a cheap full-size tire go for a total of $182. Of course, you lose a good bit of trunk space with it. Hence, I'll probably go ahead and keep my order in for the compact spare, whenever they're available.
Sorry about the bad Harley picture. My first Harley was a 1991 FXRS convertible.
