There have been rumors about a 6.4L on this forum for the last 2 years. I will wait until that rumor is either real or false. However, I won't wait too long because
you never know 2010 might be the last year.

The up graded suspension system and 4 wheel Brembos are worth the SRT-8 for me. " IF YOU CAN'T RUN WITH THE BIG DOG'S, STAY ON THE PORCH". A Challenger can be ordered with any option package, just buy what you feel comfortable with. Family comes first ! If you have to check with your better half about the purchase of a Challenger, buy the SE, if not and you wear the pants in the family, BUY THE SRT-8. PLAIN AND SIMPLE, IT'S A NO BRAINER !!!

Supposedly the world is going to end in 2012. Thus, the challenger will no longer be pr oduced post 2012. Unless Brampton somehow survives armageddon lol.

I ordered the SRT because I love muscle cars and thats the best Dodge offers - factory warranteed - right now. Im much older now and while I have a nice tool box stuffed with Craftsman tools, I really dont want bloody knuckles from working on a restored E-body or a modded R/T just to improve performance and keep it a daily driver.
Get whatever meets your needs and wants. Cant go wrong either way.

Cost of Headers $700, cost of supercharger $6,000.... look on that guy's face in the mustang as you blow past him with the extra 140 hp on either the R\T or the SRT ...........priceless.

Most S/C applications for the Challengers will not be able to work with headers for the limits of the bottom end. About 560hp is the rods limits. You will have to pick your poison from the two routes. We just dynoed the Kooks setup with out the Corsa cat back and ended up with 464hp and 450 tq at the crank. This is also using the Diablo tuner for the 6.1L.

Couldnt you just build the bottom end and put a 1000 hp halfshaft they have out for the lx cars?
