when you come to a stop, the telemetry gauge resets itself. as you accelerate, whether hard or normally, the telemetry measures to a quarter mile, and when it gets to that measure, it tells you how long that it took you to get from a stand to a quarter mile, then how fast you were going at that measure. it also measures from a stop to 60mph and tells you how long it takes. the gear line items tell you how fast you are going from a stop at each shift.

Agree, probably won't make it to production...but hey, I'll settle for a cool, integrated "shift light"

Yes way!
ORIGINAL: Caprice SS

There's no way they're going to allow that. Like BadStratRT said, it would encourage Bad Behavior. Where would one even use it? Quarter-mile ET? Trap speed? No freakin' way they're going to incorporate that!

The telemetry feature is in the 2007 Charger R&Ts and Daytonas and any Chargers that have the EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center). However, it is not available on them in the 2008 models. For some reason, they are disabled. You can see them, but they do not work. Only the dealership can enable them using Starscan.

They are still functional in the 2008 Charger SRT. Owners that have EVIC, just have to hold down the Nav and Music buttons on their steering wheel for 6-10 seconds to obtain a new series of options are available on the EVIC. They can then scroll through the menu using the up/down arrows. To return to the normal screen, they just have to push the "N" button.

I assume the Challenger SRT will have this same feature, especially because Dodge is using the Charger SRT guages.
