If this new Viper engine were an option!!
At the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant, workers called "Craftspersons" hand-build the new Dodge Viper SRT10 and all-new 600-horsepower 8.4-liter SRT V-10 engine. Utilizing 26 work stations on a 705-foot-long assembly line, 48 hand-picked UAW workers assemble each vehicle. Each vehicle remains stationary for up to 49 minutes per work area as the Craftspersons make any necessary adjustments. This process eliminates traditional repair stations with all procedures verified by Craftsperson team members.

That is so cool. It looks like, from the sides, it is a picture of the Viper with that new snake green color. If I had the money. That is what I would get a Dodge Viper Coupe with that Snake Green color. Damn I need to win the Lotto

That new engine is quiet impressive. What I find interesting is that the VCT add increase in compression and 5 cubic inch increase managed to increase the hp by 90, the tq by 25, and the fuel economy by 3mpg, not to mention the upgrades to the handling and tranmission only increased the price by $3K. A good deal if you ask me.
I would like to see these upgrades and more happen to the Hemi engine line so then we can get similar engine output as the V10 without the cost and weight of the V10.

Word on the street has the 5.7 and 6.1 upping their power output by the very same means. Seems we have some future horsepower increases coming our way Or its all speculation and we have a natural progression towards more HP.
