I think all they are trying to do is get cars out of their inventory. Remember Chrysler takes their profit and relieves inventory when the dealer gets the car, not when the car is sold to us. I think they could care less at this point how many cars are sold. They have to pare down their debt by Feb 17 and then March to keep the government bucks flowing.

I went back to that dealership today and that is exactly what the saleman told me. Chrysler has told them to load up their lot. They had a silver auto SRT. A Torred and Black manual R/T's, Blue and White auto R/T's. All four of the R/T's had the 20 inch wheels. He said they were expecting SE's any day. The R/T's came all at once. Looks like they don't care if the dealerships make it or not by loading up their lots and making their inventory costs high.

I don't understand some dealers. My local dealer has never had more than two or three Challengers . And You'd think you where trying to buy gold and half the value of it. The dealer that I ended up purchasing at has had a dozen or more at one time. And selling one or two every time I have been at the dealer . Dealers with volume sales get more I guess . And those that don't . Want too much proffit I think. If they weren't so greedy . They would sell more volume. And be able to get more.

Because of the plant closure and EP Plus I decided to pull the trigger and buy. I was going to wait till April but figured I wanted a mid range SE in TorRed and with inventory dwindling I figured I'd better pull the trigger now to get what I wanted. The inventory here in Central Ohio is very, very slim. I know of only 6 Challengers TOTAL in stock all dealerships combined. The one I wanted was the found in Medina OH and was the only TorRed 26g with sunroof and no leather.

It has been a thrill a minute owning this car!
